The number 17 — the seventh degree, the highest degree of action in the world, like the Chariot. But the Star acts through irrigation: the first image in Tarot of a naked person who nourishes the world with cosmic generosity.
A naked woman kneels under a starry sky, holding two vases: from them flows water — spiritual (yellow) and instinctive (deep blue), both nourishing the surrounding world. She has nothing left but her body, and nothing more to conceal. Above her head eight stars hint at the Milky Way. An orange moon on her brow. On her rounded belly below the navel, a sign resembling a bud. Around her, trees grow with orange foliage. On the branch of a tree — a bird poised to fly to the stars (a phoenix).
🏺Two pouring vases — spiritual (yellow) and instinctive (blue) water nourish the world simultaneously
🌟Eight stars — the perfection of talent; a hint at the Milky Way, the nursing of the world
🧎Kneeling pose — devotion, rootedness; she has found her worthy place
🌙Orange moon on the brow — intellect become receptive wisdom
🦅Bird on the tree — the phoenix, the channel of eternal return; the highest expression of the dark patch of XIII
Interpretation
If the Chariot The Chariot enters the world as a conqueror, the Star acts through irrigation: she nourishes the world, pouring cosmic generosity over it. On the card — a naked woman under a starry sky; this is the first image in Tarot of a naked person. She has nothing left but her body, and nothing more to conceal — she has attained purity, and what remains is only to find her place on Earth.
Upright — luck, a chance, prosperity, fertility, truth (coming out of the well naked). The stage at which a person finds their rightful place in order to act in the world and enrich it, starting from what they consider truly their own. Generous, altruistic action; inspiration, hope, divine love.
The kneeling pose — devotion, submission, and rootedness: she has found her worthy place and is in connection with the cosmos. The Star is a channel of universal generosity: everything is received from heaven and poured out onto the Earth. The generous person becomes an inexhaustible source that draws and gives in one movement.
With the Chariot The Chariot they are analogues of the seventh degree, both rooted in the Earth: the Star raises the veil of heaven that was blocking the Chariot's horizon. With the Tower The Tower the seed of new consciousness, announced by the 'flame,' takes form in the Star. With the unnamed arcanum Death the dark patch receives its highest expression in the phoenix bird. With the Papesse The Popess seventeen lines in her engraving point to a kinship with the Star.
In purifying her past she purifies her future as well. Reversed — squandering instead of generosity: the Star demands, instead of giving.

Advice & forecast
✦ The card's advice
Give generously from your authentic place; reconcile contradictions rather than choosing between them. You have found (or are finding) your rightful place — act from what you consider truly your own and enrich the world. Draw and give in one movement, without hoarding. Beside the Chariot The Chariot your generosity lifts the veil that was blocking the horizon; but do not turn the source into a bottomless pit that only demands.
🔮 What the forecast holds
Luck, realization, and fertility are coming; a connection with nature and truth. Ahead lies the finding of one's place, purification, generous action that enriches the world. This is a 'lucky star' — inspiration, hope, divine love. The author of creation finds their place in life. If you give from an authentic place, the source will become inexhaustible; if you demand — it will run dry.
↓ The Star reversed
The reversed Star — squandering instead of generosity: the Star demands instead of giving. Dissipation of energy on the past, on unresolved neuroses of the inner child; an eternally hungry, vampire-like creature that feels unfed and abandoned and constantly demands emotional and sexual energy while giving nothing. A bottomless pit, immodesty, shamelessness; a toxic being that poisons the lives of those close. Nostalgia, if it 'pours the vessels' into the past.

How it differs from Waite
Rider-Waite-SmithThe Star
vs
Tarot de Marseille (Conver)The Star
Waite retains the naked woman with two vessels but adds an eight-pointed star, seven lesser stars, and an ibis in the tree — the emphasis on hope, renewal, and spiritual guidance after the catastrophe of the Tower. The Marseille Star is close in image, but in our system it is read as the seventh degree of action — the watering of the world. What matters here is that the person has found their rightful place and become a channel of universal generosity: drawing and giving in one movement. Waite emphasizes hope and healing; Marseille emphasizes generous, altruistic action from an attained point of truth.
