What A Summer of Bibliomancy is
A Summer of Bibliomancy is an experimental collage deck made up of only the 22 Major Arcana. The word "bibliomancy" itself means divination by books: opening a page at random and reading the answer in it. The deck, too, was born from the word — from poems, essays, and dialogues turned into collage images of the Major Arcana.
This is not a full Tarot deck: there are no Minor Arcana here. The 22 cards are the archetypal "backbone" of the soul's great journey, from the Fool to the World.
What sets it apart
The names of the arcana follow the Marseille tradition: the Magician (the Magus), the Popess (the High Priestess), the Pope (the Hierophant), the House of God (the Tower). The numbering is also Marseille — Justice stands at eight and Strength at eleven, unlike the Waite order.
Because the deck holds only the Major Arcana, it speaks in large, fateful strokes — about big themes and turning points, not everyday details. That makes it well suited to reflecting on archetypes and to a meditative, poetic kind of reading.
